dfsvc.exe seems legit and I wouldn't try doing stuff to it as a first order of business. My case (Curse Client reinstall request on every reboot) was caused by a *.ccip entry in my Startup folder, which seems to have contained leftover metadata for the .NET application (Curse Client) I have uninstalled. That caused the dfsvc.exe to offer me to reinstall the app. Once I removed the metadata file from my Startup folder however, the dfsvc.exe stopped offering me the reinstall on every boot. rad
