Paul is incorrect. This is a .NET Framework file and while MYFIP.A or MYFIP.K infect/replace this file, they are part of the actual .NET framework.
I downloaded 2 items from Del (one concerned Smart card ) & were listed as urgent. Then dfsvc appeared .
Used by "ClickOnce" .NET applications during the download and install of the application. Also used by Google applications during the download and install of the application. This is a legimite .NET file.

it is the associated process when curse asks me to reinstall after every boot up.
"Appeared after downloaded Dell Service Tag Identifier Dr Photonic (further information)" I just loaded a Fresh OS (WIN7 PRO), and this appeared after running the dell system detect to update the propitiatory drivers..
This window popped up I looked for where it came from and found dfsvc.exe with the description as ClickOnce. No strange launch commands. The location is C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\dfsvc.exe
causes prolonged bootup sequence. After boot, it continues to draw significant memory usage to cause slower performance issues. What the hell do I need this thing for anyways?
