crashpad_handler.exe is an executable file that is part of the Crashpad crash-reporting system. This system is used by various software applications to report crashes and other errors back to the developers. The file is typically located in the C:\Program Files\Google\Drive File Stream\55.0.3.0 directory.
The associated software, Google Drive File Stream, is a desktop application that allows you to quickly access all of your Google Drive files directly from your computer, without using your disk space. It's particularly useful for saving and retrieving files stored in your Google Drive account, without needing to download them first.
crashpad_handler.exe is needed because it helps developers identify and fix issues that cause software crashes. When a software application like Google Drive File Stream or Snagit 2021 crashes, the Crashpad system collects data about the crash and sends it to the developers. This information is crucial for developers to diagnose and fix the problem, improving the overall stability and performance of the software.
You should not remove crashpad_handler.exe as it is a legitimate file used by Google Drive File Stream and other software applications. If you suspect that the file is causing problems or if it's been flagged by your antivirus software, it could be a sign of a virus or malware disguised as the crashpad_handler.exe file. In such cases, you should run a full system scan with your antivirus software to ensure your system is clean.

under google drive normally
Causes hard page faults. In my case 259 page faults in 47 seconds, so over 5 per second. Herman
